MEDICAL EMERGENCY TRAINING

IACSD 'Immediate Life Support' Training

Current guidance requires that the dental sedation team undergo regular 'team-based' training in the management of medical emergencies.

Full details can be found in the respective IACSD / SDCEP guidance documents.

Essentially, 'Immediate Life Support' courses run by the Resuscitation Council (UK) or 'approved equivalent' courses will meet this requirement.

Our colleagues at 'CPRforlife.co.uk' run such courses - full details are below!

Please note that this is an independent organisation and not related to / affiliated with Cotswold Sedation Training in any way and other similar courses are available. The CPR for Life staff do, however, provide annual ILS training for the oral surgery sedation team at Gloucestershire Hospitals and have done so successfully for several years.
